Being a participant in this program means we have undergone a thorough inspection and review of our products, equipment, training and procedures. We have been independently verified and have met the program’s high standards – including utilizing a PPG paint system, manufactured by PPG, the world’s leader in automotive finishes.  We are inspected on everything from the cleanliness of our office and restrooms, to customer satisfaction.

As a participant, we use PPG paint, which has received the Good Housekeeping seal of approval. Underwriters Laboratories Inc. provided on site inspections of our facility to make sure that we conform to the Certified First standards, and a selection of our clients were surveyed by Customer Research, Inc., to make sure we meet all of the requirements in customer satisfaction.

Company History

Donald Gardner's Paint & Body was established in 1972, by Donald Gardner.  As a Charlotte native, he graduated from Olympic High School and began his training in the automotive industry at Central Piedmont Community College.  While at CPCC he received two Associates Degrees; one in Auto Body Repair and the other in Auto Mechanics.  After graduating and opening his company, Don later held a position on the Advisory Board for Central Piedmont Community Colleges Automotive Body Repair Department.

In 1990 we built a new state-of-the-art facility at our present location.  In 2000, we upgraded our facility with a new heated downdraft paint booth, a new PPG mixing system, new computer estimating systems, and a new frame machine.

On October 1, 2004, we incorporated our company. On this date, our name was changed to Donald Gardner's Paint and Body, Inc.
